It is both a privilege and a responsibility to help members of the community face death with dignity, respect, and as much comfort as possible. When you or a loved one are very ill and decide to change from aggressive medical care to comfort care, the staff at Grace Cottage works very hard to fulfill your wishes. Pain is something many people worry about. There are many ways to control pain. We will work with you to ensure that we find out what works best for you. The goal at Grace Cottage is for you to be as comfortable as possible.

The hospice room will be made available to you as soon as possible. This is a private room that includes an adjoining family room. The adjoining family room includes a pull-out sofa bed, a small refrigerator, a microwave, a separate bathroom, a television and sound system, as well as additional seating for family. We encourage you or your loved one to bring your favorite audio recording or book on tape to listen to if you feel that is something that may help you relax. You should also feel free to stock the refrigerator with 'favorite' items that may help you feel more comfortable.
