| “Our
son, Charlie, was 19 months old when he caught a tough
case of croup. We’d dealt with croup before, but
this time was different. Dr. Kimona Alin was on call
in the Grace Cottage ER the night we brought Charlie
in, and she thought so too. When Charlie showed little
response to the usual treatments, Dr. Alin arranged
for an airlift to Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center,
where he was intubated.
“It’s been nearly four years since that
life-saving event, and Charlie is a healthy five-year-old
who loves to skate and ski. Our family is well, thanks
to the team at Grace Cottage. We count on them in good
times and bad.”
