| It's that
time of year again - Fair Day will be here before we know it. On
Saturday, August 3rd, come celebrate the 52nd annual all-day festival
of family fun on the Townshend Common. If you've never been, this
is the year to mark it on your calendar and give it a try. If you
and your family make it a point to come every year, you know how
much fun it is, for all ages.
What
could be better than attending Fair Day? Volunteering at Fair Day,
of course. Just ask those who have done it in the past. For more
information, call Stan Holt, Fair Day Chair, at (802) 365-4455 or
Sharon Redfield, Booth Chair, at (802) 365-4684, and they'll let
you know which booths still need helpers. It's a great opportunity
to meet and greet people you know and people you've never seen before
in your life!
Auction donations
are also needed; call Barbara Barber at (802) 365-4707 to arrange
pick-up.

The Fair Day
Book Booth will be accepting donations July 22-26 and 29-31 from
9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Leland & Gray High School. Please, no encyclopedias,
textbooks, Reader's Digest Condensed, magazines, or books in poor
condition. Anyone who would be willing to help sort books, move
them from the high school to the Common, or to sell at the booth
for a two-hours shift, should call Julie at 365-7278.
ANNUAL MEETING
- Grace Cottage Auxiliary's Annual Meeting will be held in the
Townshend Church on Wednesday, July 17th at 7 p.m. Come one, come
all, and come especially if you're involved in Fair Day!
MEMBERSHIP
- The Auxiliary's membership mailing has been delayed until
this month because there have been re-appraisals in several area
towns, which slows the availability of the mailing lists. Keep an
eye out for the envelope - it will arrive shortly. |
