| The response
to our request for funds for Hill-Rom beds was positively overwhelming.
An anonymous donor purchased two beds, Shirley Benson donated the
funds for another, and the fourth was given by Marguerite Wyman
and the Panwy Foundation, for a total of $11,200 given for beds.
A grateful hospital and a generation (or more) of appreciative patients
salute and thank these angels!
A Pharmacist
has been found! We can't reveal her name until she actually begins
work this summer, but she's as excited about coming here as we are
to have her.
Joan McConnel
donated Lincoln Logs for the Rehab Dept. (No, it's not for the staff,
but for young patients!)
Many of you
volunteered to open your homes to medical student interns. The accommodations
sounded so good that it made a few of us want to move out of our
own homes into yours! Thank you for your generosity -
WISHES
MADE ~ ~ ~
The Valley
Health Council received many plastic hangers for children's clothing,
in response to their request in the last issue of Cottage Door.
Now their need is for pant and skirt hangers, and for a "pop-up"
awning-type tent for sales outdoors.
In order to
encourage reading, the physicians' offices would like to give a
new book to every patient, age 6 months to five years old. If you
would like to help fund this effort, please contact us. The physicians
would take care of purchasing age-appropriate books, if donations
are received.
For further information or to arrange for donation of any of
the above Wish List items, call (802) 365-9109. |
