THE OTIS CENTER NEW EMPLOYEES
The following employees have joined the Otis Health Care Center during the past four months: EXEMPLARY EMPLOYEES RECOGNIZED ![]() The following employees have been recognized during the past four months for outstanding activities, accomplish- ments, and leadership that goes beyond standard job requirements: Mayla Brown, LPN, Stratton House Nursing Home and Grace Cottage Hospital (February) : "Difficult tasks she handles right away. Impossible tasks take her just a little bit longer. Mayla is always smiling, cheerful, and ready to lend a hand." Elena Nenorta, LPN, Grace Cottage Hospital (March): Elena was nominated by a petition signed by 46 of her fellow employees. (See Profile In Courage). Sue Belgard-Marquis, Business Office (April): "Sue seems to know automatically when someone needs help and she pitches in on any job that needs to be done. Has taught others how to resolve billing problems." Gary Lavorgna, Maintenance (May): "Gary's positive attitude makes everyone happy. Always cheerful, smiling, helpful, consistently assures that you are satisfied with his work and follows up." EMPLOYEE BABY BOOM Grace Cottage employees seem to be in the "Family- Growing Business" of late: Tanya Noyes and her husband, Dan, are the proud parents of Alyssa Mary Noyes, born December 4th. Tanya and her husband, Dan, live in Athens; Tanya is a phlebotomist. Allura MacKenzie Cameron was born on Feb. 10 to clini- cal laboratory scientist Heather Cameron and her husband, Brian, of Londonderry. Sindy Hassig, physical therapist, gave birth to Julia Lee Fillion on March 12. Sindy and her husband, Jeff Fillion, live in West Dover, where Julia joins her brother, Carson. Drs. Elizabeth and Moss Linder are expecting their third child in August. Sisters Elkanah and Cara are eagerly awaiting their new sibling. Long-Term Care Administrator Maggie Lewis and her hus- band, Dave, are anxiously awaiting the arrival of their first child, due in September. EMPLOYEE APPRECIATION COOKOUT In recognition of National Hospital Week, National Nurses. Week, and National Nursing Home Week, which all occur during May, an Employee Appreciation Cookout was held on Thursday, May 10 in the Garden of Grace. Marie Scott of Heins Home won 8 hours of earned time, Speech Therapist Deb Knickerbocker won 16 hours, and Occupational Therapist Mike Montiero won 40 hours of earned time. ![]() Grillmeister and Administrator Al LaRochelle unintentionally provided the entertainment at the Employee Appreciation Cookout by setting a grill and the adjoining grass on fire; fortunately, there were no injuries. |
