With the stock market and interest rates headed in the same general direction, charitable annuities, always an excellent form of investment, are even more attractive to donors these days.

In exchange for a gift to Grace Cottage of cash or secu- rities, donors receive a lifetime income in quarterly or annual payments of 7% to 12% of the gift, depending on the age of the donor. The annuity is most beneficial to donors 65 years or older (a 90-year old donor could receive the maximum 12% rate).
