Newsletter - Spring/Summer 2001
The biggest "happening", of course, is the
annual Auxiliary-sponsored Hospital Fair Day. On Saturday,
August 4, come celebrate the 51st annual all-day festival
of family fun on the Townshend common. At 2:00 there.s a special
ceremony on the bandstand honoring Grace Cottage nurses for
their 52 years of devoted service.
Can you help? Volunteers are needed for a variety of assign-
ments. If you haven.t participated in the past, why not start
now? You'll have fun, and a great feeling of satisfaction
for having helped a most w o r t h w h i l e cause. Call Stan
Holt, Fair Day Chair, at (802) 365-4455 or Sharon Redfield,
Booth Chair, at (802) 365-4684. We need Auction donations;
call Barbara Barber at (802) 365-4707. Also, three refrigerators
are desperately needed for the Refreshment and Gourmet Booths.
"You call, we'll haul"...both ways, if you have an extra working
fridge that you can spare for Fair Day use. And, most of all, you are needed on the common on Fair Day, "spending freely," Dr. Otis's annual appeal! SUPER SUPPER XVI. The Heartbeats sang... 6 big turkeys a treat (all devoured)... A great set-up crew, for which we are grateful. ANNUAL BOSTON BUS TRIP. 85 degrees...city alive at Springtime. No one missed the bus for the trip back, so the record stands. Come next year! MEMBERSHIP. We lag behind. . . Grace Cottage Hospital treasury is hungry for our annual contributions.
