WISHES FULFILLED ~ ~ ~
  • Through the Panwy Foundation, David Wyman of Colorado generously answered our request for the reservoir to fill the hydrotherapy tub in the hospital.
  • Targ Spicer of South Newfane, Peg Barry and Harriet Ives of Brattleboro and Mary Harrington of Hinsdale vol- unteered their services to sort, document, and file over fifty years of historical information about Grace Cottage.
  • Rosetta Lowe of Hinsdale, NH donated handmade laprobes in remembrance of the many years that Effie Chamberlin worked at Grace Cottage, and in memory of Bonnie Dowley.

MORE WISHES MADE ~ ~ ~
  • The dietary department is looking for people to feed! If you know people in the Grace Cottage area who could use a free, hot meal delivered with a warm smile to their homes on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, call 365- 7140 ext. 112.
  • Volunteers are needed to stock nutrition centers in the hospital and nursing home, and to prepare food items for the salad bar. Flexible hours, fun guaranteed.

During 2000, numerous volunteers gave up their free time on Sundays during holiday weekends to collect donations for Grace Cottage at the Newfane Flea Market; they raised a total of $4,566. Vermont was ranked second among the 52 states and territories reviewed in the U. S. Health Care Financing Administration's (HCFA) first national quantitative evaluation of care provided to Medicare beneficiaries. Grace Cottage's employees have received a certificate of recognition for their significant contribution to this outstanding achievement.
