VALLEY HEALTH COUNCIL
EQUIPMENT DONATIONS: The VHC has had
the good fortune of receiving quite a few donations of durable medical equipment;
"thank you" to all of these generous people. The equipment they have donated
will be beneficial to many residents of the West River Valley.
Special thanks go to Madeleine Cannon, who drove all
the way to Townshend, VT, from her home in Farmington, CT, to donate four
wonderful pieces of equipment to the Valley Health Council's "Loan Closet."
Madeline's donations were a reclining wheelchair, a Transaide lift with
the cradle, an Amigo battery-operated scooter, and a folding wheelchair.

Michele L. Blair of Townshend has been named the recipient of this year's
$1,000 Robert Crowell Scholarship awarded annually to a resident of the
West River Valley who is pursuing a career in health care. To say that
Michelle was excited about being selected for this scholarship would be
an understatement - she was overjoyed, and extremely appreciative.
