TOWNSHEND – The Grace Cottage Hospital Community Wellness Center will host a 5Rhythms® dance weekend workshop Friday, Oct. 26, to Sunday, Oct. 28. This empowering weekend workshop focuses on moving meditation: putting the body in motion to still the mind.
Created by Gabrielle Roth, 5Rhythmns® combines five movements common to all humans. There are no steps to follow, no choreography to learn, no way to do it wrong. In fact, the point of 5Rhythms is to follow where your feet guide you. This natural progression of energy can liberate the creative spirit, inspiring lightheartedness, profundity, or stillness.
Designed for all ages and abilities, this workshop will be led by Sarah Wilde, a certified 5Rhythms® practitioner. Wilde has been leading these workshops for more than 20 years.
The workshop will take place on Fri., Oct.26, from 6:30-8:30 p.m., and on Sat. and Sun., Oct. 27-28, from 12:30-5:30 p.m. It is also possible to attend just Friday night. The cost for the weekend is $185; the cost for Friday only is $15.
