MEDICAL RECORDS MANAGER
Medical Records Manager will lead the charge in the challenging ICD-10 implementation and education of all providers prior to the final implementation deadline of 10/01/2014. This person will be operate as a 1-person coding/Medical Records department while supervising the Transcriptionists and File Clerk.
Additionally, the position reviews patient's records and assigns numeric codes for each diagnosis and procedure to send to insurance companies. Coordinates and runs monthly coding meetings, identifies coding areas requiring clarification, develops policies/procedures; assists the coding educator/ guides other coders. Prefer 5 yrs of previous coding experience with at least 1 year in a leadership role. Must have Certification from American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC); prior EMR exposure; analytical, organizational and time management skills; motivates, educates and supports coworkers. Strong ICD-9-CM and CPT coding skills.
Job Requirements:
Prefer 5 yrs of previous coding experience with at least 1 year in a leadership role. Must have Certification from American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC); prior EMR exposure; analytical, organizational and time management skills; motivates, educates and supports coworkers. Strong ICD-9-CM and CPT coding skills.
HOUSEKEEPER / LAUNDRY
Full-time - 40 hrs per wk
Day Shift w/ occasional float to evening shift. Fair share weekends and holidays.
Previous cleaning experience required. Knowledge of infection control practice
helpful. Excellent customer service skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality.
General cleaning and disinfecting of patient care areas, including patient room
and bathrooms.
RADIOLOGY TECHNICIAN -
PER DIEM
For our Diagnostic Imaging Department, to provide diagnostic radiology coverage.
Qualified applicants must have a wide range of experience and competency, be self-directed and able to work independently. AART and a Vermont State License are required. One year CT scanning experience required.
RN - Per Diem (2)
Immediate opening for two per diem RN positions on the Inpatient Care Unit. Duties include patient assessments/reassessments, development of the patient’s plan of care, implementation of physician’s orders including
medication administration and treatments, evaluation of patient’s response to treatment and nursing interventions with appropriate follow-through.
Required:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; current Vermont
RN license in good standing; minimum of one year acute care or skilled level experience; current BLS certification; computer skills and familiarity with using an electronic medical record essential; excellent customer service skills. Strong team player. Varied shifts available.
Director of Informatics
Job Responsibilities:
The Director of Informatics is tasked with ensuring healthcare IT strategies are in place and managed successfully.
This includes but not limited to: Patient Portal; ACO; Patient Center Medical Home; ICD-10 Project Leadership; Meaningful Use leadership; Physician Quality Systems.
Job Requirements:
Baccalaureate preferable in a clinical role or informatics field; or RN background; Minimum 5 years clinical experience in hospital setting;
Minimum 5 years Informatics or similar type of role in medical/hospital setting; Clinical background required; Financial controls and management;
Educator/trainer experience; EMR; Provider relations; Patient centered; Analytics; Word, excel; Interdisciplinary team leadership
Pharmacist
Job Responsibilities:
The Pharmacist position will provide support to both the hospital (approximately 70% of time)
and the retail (about 30%) side of Otis Health Care. This includes but not limited to: processing
orders; medication reviews; clinical monitoring. Processing orders; Medication Reviews;
Clinical; Monitoring; Coordination of patient needs (discharging; working with nurses and
providers) Rehab and Acute Care environment. Dispensing functions at both staff and clinical
roles; Immunizations; Warfarin Clinic; Medication Therapy Management.
Job Requirements
- Entry level – 2 to 5 years of experience
- Licensed Pharmacist in Vermont or able to be reciprocated
- Immunization certified a plus
