WISHES FULFILLED!

Grace Cottage is blessed by many benefactors, including the following individuals and organizations who came through when we made specific pleas for help:

  • Arthur Barbas of Woburn, MA and Jamaica, VT donated the funds for a new CAD pump, which dispenses morphine to patients to ease their pain.
  • Kay & John Barbas, of Woburn MA and Jamaica, VT (Arthur’s parents) donated funds towards a new feeding pump for hospital patients.
  • David & Nancy Wyman, Dick & Carla (Wyman) Benka and Al & Alexis (Wyman) Dorf donated funds, via the Panwy Foundation, to be used to purchase a new dishwasher for the kitchen. The old dishwasher leaked, croaked and groaned for a very long time, so the dietary staff is pleased that a new machine will be arriving shortly.
  • Sarah Messenger and Paul Weber of Townshend donated the funds for a new cryo sprayer, used to freeze pre-malignant skin lesions prior to treatment.
  • Pauline Dickison of Plattsburgh, NY and Grafton, VT called to donate funds for a cryo sprayer. When she heard that it had already been funded, she quickly agreed to purchase a new ultrasound for the Rehabilitation Department – theirs worked only intermittently.
  • The children of William and Florence Rounds donated the funds to purchase recliner chairs for Grace Cottage Adult Day Services.
  • The parishioners of area churches and Grace Cottage employees donated food and money to help with holiday food baskets assembled at Grace Cottage for families in need in the community.
  • A couple (who asked to remain anonymous) donated funds to purchase a Lifepak defibrillator for the ambulance, and updated nursing manuals.
  • A number of supporters gave generously towards the urgently-needed replacement of the fire sprinkler system. A complete list will appear in the next Cottage Door, as this fundraising project is still underway.
  • Lisa's Love Charitable Association donated the funds to purchase a suction machine for hospital patients. Lisa's Love was created in memory of Lisa (Young) Noble who died at Grace Cottage in January, 2000, at the age of 32, after courageously battling a brain tumor.
