HOLT FUND AWARDS GRANTS
The Otis Health Care Center (OHCC) was the recipient
of two awards for 2003 from the Fannie Holt Ames and Edna Louise
Holt Fund, administered by Fleet Charitable Trust Services. The
first, in the amount of $85,440, is for architectural and engineering
fees related to planning the expansion of Heins Home, the 14-bed
residential care home. The second, for $38,100, is to support
the development of a long-range home- and community-based eldercare
plan for the West River Valley. Congratulations to OHCC grant
specialist Bob Crego, who wrote these grant applications. The
OHCC also received a grant in the amount of $8,000 from the Vermont
Housing Conservation Board to research the feasibility of expanding
Heins Home. The town of Townshend and the OHCC have jointly submitted
a grant application to the Vermont Community Development Program
for the expansion of Heins Home, in the amount of $180,000; notification
will be received in March.
| Dear staff of Grace Cottage Hospital:
“Thank you for taking such good care of me. I’ve
told everyone here in New York City that if they get food
poisoning, they should definitely come visit you!”
A grateful patient, New York, NY |
