Dr. Timothy Shafer Congrats, Professor!

Grace Cottage Hospital's Dr. Timothy Shafer has received the first annual Southern Vermont Area Health Education Center's "SPIRIT" award, in recognition ofhis "passion for family medicine and devotion to medical student education."

Dr. Shafer, who is a member of the Southern Vermont AHEC Board, was presented with the award, a SimonPearce glass hand-blown vase, at the organization's annual meeting on May 20th in Rutland. Establishedin 1999, Southern Vermont AHEC has been working to address Vermont's health care shortages and to support primary care.
