Community Wellness Center
The Community Wellness Center at Grace Cottage
Hospital is gradually becoming more than a dream, thanks to a
grant from the Fanny Holt Ames and Louise Holt Fund, a bequest
from June Kipp, and donations made in memory of Heidi Shine.
Vance Hosford, an A1A architect whose business is located in West Townshend, has generously donated his professional services to design the new Wellness Activity Room in the Heins Building. ReNew Salvage of Brattleboro has deconstructed the Heins Building's old glassed-in porch, and recycled and/or sold as many of the components as possible. A volunteer construction group from Hartford, CT plans to spend two weeks in Vermont in late September in order to work on the Community Wellness Center.
