Auxiliary News
Super Supper

This year’s Super Supper was a tremendous success, with
fabulous turkey and pot-luck dishes, a huge crowd, and foot-stomping
music by The Bills Band.
Hundreds...maybe even thousands... flock to Townshend on the first
Saturday of August every year for the 22 Bargain Booths, great food,
all-day Auction, BBQ, and entertainment that lasts throughout the
day and into the evening. Free: parking, admission, entertainment,
pony rides!
What a delight to see so many folks at Grace Cottage Hospital Auxiliary’s
annual Super Supper on Feb. 2nd. The NewBrook Fire Dept. building
was packed to peak capacity with smiling faces, hearty appetites
and much laughter. This mid-winter event grows every year, with
returnees and newcomers alike.
The highlight of the evening was a community welcome for Grace
Cottage CEO, Dr. Shana Jones, and the new Director of Nursing, Betty
Ann Hazell, followed by the foot-tapping music of the Bills Band.
There was an abundance of great food, jokes, and many prizes, too.
A special thanks to my fellow Auxiliary officers for making this
a successful event.
The Auxiliary will have a booth at the Wardsboro Fourth of July
Parade and Street Fair, where the colorful 2007 Hospital Fair Day
T-shirts, hats and raffle tickets will be sold. And, of course,
we hope to see you at the 57th Grace Cottage Hospital Auxiliary
Fair Day on Saturday, August 4th. Volunteers and auction donations
are still needed for Fair Day.
Call 365-4455 or 365-4707 for information.
A special thanks to all for an outstanding response to our recent
Auxiliary Membership drive. Your loyal support and generosity are
very much appreciated. Barb Barber, V.P. and Membership Chair

After attempting a magic trick for the crowd, Grace Cottage’s
new CEO Shana Jones said that she’s “not quitting her
day job!”
