| AFTER 57 YEARS .... A NEW KITCHEN!
Denise
Choleva-Grube, Dietary Manager, stands between two of her favorite
parts of Grace Cottage’s new kitchen: the walk-in cooler and
walk-in freezer. Thanks to Grace Cottage Hospital Auxiliary’s
generous donations from Fair Day 2004 and Fair Day 2005, and numerous
other contributors mentioned under “Wishes Fulfilled”
on page 5, the new kitchen (long a dream!) is now a reality.
From warped wood to polished stainless steel, from an expansive
collection of chest freezers and home refrigerators to a large new
walk-in cooler and walk-in freezer....the comparisons could go on
and on, and they all help to explain the excitement on the part
of staff, volunteers and patients about the newly-completed kitchen.
Thanks to Grace Cottage’s Maintenance Department (Jim Crozier,
Doug Winot and Martin Bozetarnik), the project came in on target,
both in terms of budget and timeline.
Area contractors who helped to get the job done in a very timely
fashion include Dompier Electric, Jack Greenwood Plumbing, Code
3 Products, A.S. Clark & Sons, Southern Vermont Sprinkler, D&M
Lock & Security, Record Concrete, WW Building Supply, Kelly’s
Northeast Equipment Rental, Clear Solutions, Southern Vermont Telephone,
J&B Glass Company, Damian Flooring, Bill Staats & Bob Litchfield,
Brattleboro Sheet Metal, and Triple T Trucking.
