After an insert about the importance of Advance Directives was published in the last issue of Cottage Door, Grace Cottage’s social worker, Carol VanderTuin was inundated with requests for help with completing Advance Directive forms. The Terri Schiavo case probably had a great deal more to do with this increased awareness than the newsletter, but no matter the reason, VanderTuin is very pleased with the response. “I’ve helped more than 65 people fill out Advance Directives during the past few months,” said VanderTuin.

“I’d be happy to help anyone complete an Advance Directive, whether they use the services of Grace Cottage or not.”
