VALLEY HEALTH COUNCIL
HOMEMAKERS AVAILABLE — Do you know of neighbors,
family or friends in the West River Valley, of any age or income
level, who are struggling to stay in their own homes as they face
the increasingly daunting task of accomplishing daily household
tasks?
Valley Health Council homemakers are eager, ready, and willing
to help out. No physician referral is necessary—just call
Elaine Scott at the Valley Health Council, 365-7920, x. 118. A sliding
fee schedule can be arranged, if necessary. The Valley Health Council
homemakers have been such a help to so many people over the years
but, at the moment, they are looking for people that they can help!
THRIFT SHOP — People keep telling us they
didn’t know that the Valley Health Council has a Thrift Shop!
It’s located a little more than a mile north of downtown Townshend
on Route 30, next to Mary Meyer’s Toy Museum. It’s open
Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, 10-4. Call 365-7234 for
more info.
