KATHLEEN SHEDD WRIGHT TRUST
A generous gift was received by Grace Cottage from the estate of Kathleen "Katie" Shedd Wright after her death. The following letter was received from Katie’s daughter, Mimi:
"As the wife of a very dedicated doctor, Katie regretted the loss of connection between doctor and patient, which seems to be more and more the norm today. In Grace Cottage and Dr. Moss Linder, she was able to feel that relationship at the end of her life. Her gift to Grace Cottage represents sacrifice on her part, and a respect for the quality and importance of what you do for our community. It is her 'thank you', spend it wisely."

A VERY SPECIAL MOTHER’S DAY GIFT

A VERY SPECIAL MOTHER’S DAY GIFTRuth Lamprey’s daughters, Sharon Tierra (l.) and Faith Lamprey (r.), surprised their mother on Mother’s Day with a plaque on the Bone Densitometer Room, in honor of Ruth and Jerry Lamprey. Jerry died in 1999; Ruth is a volunteer in the Grace Cottage Purchasing Department. Ruth and Jerry became known to many in the community when they ran "My Brother’s Place" restaurant in Harmonyville, now the site of Dr. Timothy Shafer’s practice.

WOOD'S TEA COMPANY CONCERT
The ever-popular Wood’s Tea Company will be performing in celebration of Grace Cottage at 7 p.m. on Saturday, August 9th on the Townshend Common. This free concert is held in memory of Jack Benson who sponsored these concerts until his death last year - his wife, Shirley, is continuing the wonderful tradition.
Bring a lawn chair or blanket and, if you wish, a picnic supper. In case of rain, the concert will be held in the Townshend Congregational Church, on the Common.
HAPPY 250TH BIRTHDAY, TOWNSHEND!
