WISHES FULFILLED...

  • A total of six Patient Chairs for the doctors’ offices were given by: Tom Avenia in memory of Enos Ross White and Silver S. Husky; Warren Eginton in memory of Marjorie Eginton; Penny Massey in memory of Frank Massey; and an anonymous donor.
  • Edward & Lore Parks contributed the funds to purchase a StatSpin high-speed centrifuge for the Lab, in memory of Della Stowell and Marion Parks.
  • Dr. Marvin & Connie Wool donated the funds to obtain a computer for the Emergency Room, so that patient information can be entered at the bedside.
  • Lisa’s Love Charitable Association contributed funds to purchase Digital X-Ray Plates for 10" x 12" images made on the portable X-Ray machine.
  • Emergency Room Comfort - the employees of the Brattleboro, Bellows Falls and Wilmington branches of The Richards Group raised over $200 with which they purchased teddy bears to be given to children in Grace Cottage’s ER. Christine Cathcart, co-owner of the Old Farmhouse B&B in Townshend, made four children’s quilts to be given out in the ER over the holidays. “One child was so happy to receive it that he cried,” said a hospital employee.

WISHES MADE...

  • Two intermittent suction machines are needed for hospital patients. The equipment can be used to clear the respiratory system of mucous for easier breathing, or the contents of the stomach, as needed. The cost of
    each machine is $750.
  • Hand weights. Volunteers are teaching the Strong Living exercise program for the residents at Heins Home, but they lack appropriate weights. Do you have hand or leg weights that are in need of exercise
