WISHES FULFILLED...
- A total of six Patient Chairs for the doctors’ offices were
given by: Tom Avenia in memory of Enos Ross White and Silver S.
Husky; Warren Eginton in memory of Marjorie Eginton; Penny Massey
in memory of Frank Massey; and an anonymous donor.
- Edward & Lore Parks contributed the funds to purchase a StatSpin
high-speed centrifuge for the Lab, in memory of Della Stowell
and Marion Parks.
- Dr. Marvin & Connie Wool donated the funds to obtain a computer
for the Emergency Room, so that patient information can be entered
at the bedside.
- Lisa’s Love Charitable Association contributed funds to purchase
Digital X-Ray Plates for 10" x 12" images made on the portable
X-Ray machine.
- Emergency Room Comfort - the employees of the Brattleboro, Bellows
Falls and Wilmington branches of The Richards Group raised over
$200 with which they purchased teddy bears to be given to children
in Grace Cottage’s ER. Christine Cathcart, co-owner of the Old
Farmhouse B&B in Townshend, made four children’s quilts to be
given out in the ER over the holidays. “One child was so happy
to receive it that he cried,” said a hospital employee.
WISHES MADE...
- Two intermittent suction machines are needed for hospital patients.
The equipment can be used to clear the respiratory system of mucous
for easier breathing, or the contents of the stomach, as needed.
The cost of
each machine is $750.
- Hand weights. Volunteers are teaching the Strong Living exercise
program for the residents at Heins Home, but they lack appropriate
weights. Do you have hand or leg weights that are in need of exercise
