| CONNECTICUT RIVER TRANSIT BEGINS BUS SERVICE;
GRACE COTTAGE’S WILL END
Now that a “Dial-A-Ride Service” is available in the
West River Valley, thanks to Connecticut River Transit (CRT), Grace
Cottage will be discontinuing its twice-monthly bus trips to Springfield
and Brattleboro after this month.
CRT’s service, which is offered in exchange for a donation
of $2.50 each way, includes door-to-door pick up, and drop off at
the Transportation Center in Brattleboro, where riders can then
board the Brattleboro Bee Line to get around town. To schedule a
trip, riders should call 888-869-6287 at least 48 hours in advance.
“The Board’s decision to discontinue our bus was not
made lightly,” said Roger Allbee, President of the Grace Cottage
Board of Trustees, “and we apologize if it’s inconvenienced
anyone. We are confident that CRT will do an excellent job in providing
this service, as they are experts in the transportation business.”
