OTIS HEALTH CARE CENTER BOARD WELCOMES
JANE ROBINSON
Wardsboro
resident Jane Robinson has recently joined the Otis Health Care
Center Board of Trustees. Jane is well known to many area residents
and visitors, as former manager of the Newfane Branch of Chittenden
Bank (formerly Vermont National Bank). Born in Barre, VT, Jane graduated
from the Mary Hitchcock School of Nursing and worked at Bangor State
Hospital in Maine for two years before moving to Vermont in 1965.
She was the Town Clerk/Treasurer in Wardsboro for many years, before
joining the bank. Now retired, Jane spends the summers at her home
on Peacham Pond in northern Vermont.
Jane fills the vacancy created by the recent retirement
of Lawrin Crispe from the OHCC Board of Trustees;
Crispe will continue to serve on the Grace Cottage
Foundation Board of Directors.
OHCC Board President Neil Pelsue praised Lawrin
Crispe’s years of service on the board, stating: “The
Crispe family legacy of support for Grace Cottage
goes back at least to 1951, when Lawrin’s father,
Luke, joined what then became a five-member board.
Between them, Luke and Lawrin gave some 55 years
of outstanding service to the growth and development
of GCH/OHCC. The hospital has benefited greatly
from their valuable legal advice and wise insights.”
Thank you, Lawrin, and welcome, Jane!
