COMMUNITY ASSESSMENT & COMMUNITY REPORT COMPLETED AND ON THE WEB!

To learn more about Grace Cottage’s performance and to find out about community involvement in Grace Cottage’s planning process, go to www.gracecottage.org and click on any of the Act 53 documents listed at the bottom of the home page. Mandated by the State of Vermont (Act 53, “An Act Relating to Hospital and Health Care System Accountability, Capital Spending and Annual Budgets”, passed by the Vermont legislature in 2003), a Community Assessment and a Community Report were completed by each of Vermont’s 14 hospitals. The process was implemented by the Vermont Department of Banking, Insurance, Securities and Health Care Administration (BISHCA).

One of the silver linings of this massive project was the way that community volunteers eagerly went to bat for Grace Cottage to help with the Community Assessment. Every other hospital in Vermont hired consultants to help with this process.

Community feedback about Grace Cottage was almost uniformly excellent...but we strive to do even better! A public meeting for discussion of the Community Report results will be held on Thursday, March 31 at 7
