A NEW HOME

Elaine Scott, Director of the Valley Health Council (VHC), invites you to visit VHC’s new office, located on the first floor of the Kronemeyer House, just 1500’ north of Grace Cottage on Route 35 in Townshend. The office is open from 9-1, Monday through Friday. The new phone number for the Valley Health Council is 365-4910; the new street address is 457 Grafton Road, Townshend.

Approximately 40 people (not all agreed to be photographed!) attended the Valley Health Council’s Open House and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at the Kronemeyer House, held on December 30.

Neil “Bucky” Pelsue, President of the Otis Health Care Center’s Board, Al LaRochelle, CEO, and Elaine Scott review plans for an addition to the Kronemeyer House which, if all goes according to plan, will accommodate Grace Cottage Adult Day Services. Grace Cottage Hospital Auxiliary has generously donated the $48,000 profit from Fair Day 2004 to help pay for the expansion and renovations to the Kronemeyer House that will be necessary in order to comfortably house the Adult Day program (including a sprinkler system, ramps, and a new “Great Room”). Once the plans are approved by the Department of Aging and Independent Living, the Agency of Natural Resources and the Department of Labor & Industry, renovations will begin.
