During the past year, Grace Cottage Hospital board and staff members have been working with a broad coalition of health care providers, community development and planning specialists, and local citizens to discuss the issue of special needs housing for the elderly. Such a project would expand the capacity and improve the viability of such programs as Visiting Nurses, Grace Cottage Adult Day Services, The Valley Health Council, and Heins Home.

Current and projected demographics and the results of a recent market feasibility study suggest that the development and operation of such a project is possible.

Community input is not only encouraged, but necessary to ensure the success of this project.
