| A DECADE OF ADULT DAY SERVICES
The sun porch at Adult Day overlooks the Garden of Grace
(summer is coming, please tell us it's so!)
2004 marks the tenth anniversary of Adult Day Services at Grace
Cottage, and it promises to be an exciting year. Mary Sorensen has
taken the helm as Adult Day Director, and she's brought along new
ideas, enthusiasm and energy. Recreation therapists, Lorraine Gleason
and Dottie Hilton, continue to provide the tender, loving care that
they've both become known for over the years.
Volunteers are the heart and soul of the program, and they continue
to share their time and talent with Adult Day participants. Bob
Heinemann is always willing to lend a helping hand - he's also the
best Bingo caller around. Gina Wellman conducts a weekly senior
fitness program, and Theresa Maggio provides Reiki sessions for
those who are interested. Barb Wilson comes to play the piano, and
Freda Barton is the word master and short story reader.
"Grace Cottage Adult Day Services is one of the best things that's
ever happened to me," said participant Gideon Applegate of South
Newfane. "I just can't get enough of being here!"
