A commemorative gift is a meaningful way to honor someone’s
birthday or wedding anniversary, to thank a friend, to celebrate
a holiday, or to show appreciation for care given by Grace Cottage
staff. Memorial gifts honor someone who has recently passed away
or died long ago. Grace Cottage publishes the names of the people
honored and memorialized in Cottage Door. During the past twelve
months, Grace Cottage received 36 commemorative donations and
774 memorial donations.
When Grace Cottage receives a donation in honor or in memory
of someone, we immediately send a letter of thanks to the person
sending the gift. We also send a personal letter to the individual
being honored or
to the family of the deceased, notifying them of each gift, but
the amount of the gift is never included in the letter.
