DO YOU CARRY A MEDICATION CARD?

There’s a simple way that you can help prevent medication errors that can be life-threatening: carry a medication card in your wallet at all times. This card should include an up-to-date listing of the names of all your medications (including over-the-counter, vitamins, and herbal remedies), and the dosage you take. If you should need to go to an ER, see a different doctor, or are admitted to a hospital, this “snapshot” of the medications you take may save your life. So many people say, for example: “I take that little blue pill, you know...,” and the doctor may very well not know which “blue pill” it is.

Grace Cottage has free pre-printed medication cards available throughout the facility, or call (802) 365-9109 and we’ll be delighted to mail the cards to you.
