WISHES MADE...
- A Pigg-o-Stat is needed for the X-Ray department.
This piece of equipment with a very unique
name has a very important function - it helps to
keep squirming children still and positions them
correctly while they are being x-rayed. According
to Pigg-O-Stat’s website, “psychological trauma to
patients and stress and strain on parents is greatly
reduced by our pediatric immobilizer.” The cost,
with all necessary parts to adapt to Grace Cottage’s
X-ray table, is $3,500.
- The hospital’s medical staff needs an additional
blood pressure/pulse oxymeter monitor. The cost
is $1,375.
- An IV fluid warmer is still needed in the
Emergency Room for use with trauma patients,
including burn victims and pediatric emergencies,
to prevent fluid-induced hypothermia. The cost is
$600.
