THRIFT SHOP—Several of the Valley Health
Council Thrift Shop volunteers are retirees who
head south for the winter, which makes staffing
the shop quite challenging. Can you give a few
hours a week, or even every other week? The shop
is conveniently located a little more than a mile
north of downtown Townshend on Route 30, next
to Mary Meyer’s Toy Museum, and it’s open
Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, 10-4.
Call 365-7920 x118 for more information about
volunteer opportunities at the Thrift Shop. For
those of you who like to shop, the Thrift Shop is
filled with good quality clothing and household
items at bargain prices.
SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENT— Tanya Noyes was awarded this year’s
$1,000 Eugene Godt Scholarship, funded by the Robert Crowell Charitable
