| NEW MANAGER AT HEINS HOME
“I guess you could say that I seized the opportunity,”
laughed Marilyn Tilton about her new position as manager of Grace
Cottage’s residential care home. “I really enjoyed working
as Al LaRochelle’s assistant, but I’ve always wanted
to do something like this. It’s not a job...it’s more
like being ‘home’. The people here at Heins Home have
already become like family members to me in the few months I’ve
been here.”

A native of Hartford, Connecticut, Marilyn knew that healthcare
was her chosen vocation, but marriage intervened after she had finished
a year in nursing school. She and her husband lived in various states
before Marilyn returned to Hartford to take care of her ailing father.
When he died, she decided that Vermont was where she wanted to live,
and she moved to Londonderry in 1994. Prior to joining Grace Cottage,
Marilyn was a manager at Town and Village Bus in Chester. Her daughter,
a nurse, lives in Rhode Island and her twin sons are in Bristol,
CT.
