WISHES FULFILLED! ~ ~ ~
* Three angels stepped forward in response to our request
for help funding free books for children visiting physicians.
Mary Hill, of Olde New England Books in Newfane, Betsy DeFinis,
a Reading Recovery teacher in Norwalk, CT (who has a second home
in Townshend), and Josephine Coleman, a librarian at the public
library in Springfield, VT, all showed their devotion to their
literacy-related vocations by donating toward this cause.
* Wendy Bruso of Jamaica, VT hosted Debbie Myers, an Albany
Medical College student, during her rotation at Dr. Tim Shafer's
office. Walter and Elaine Meyer of Townshend have also been hosts
for Dr. Shafer's students. Additional hosts are always appreciated.
* Doris Hayden of Newfane has agreed to take over for
Audrey Pogonowski as volunteer coordinator for the Couriers. Audrey
and her husband have moved back to Connecticut, and we wish them
the best, and thanks for a job well done. Doris would appreciate
hearing from anyone who is interested in being a Courier, which
entails driving to Brattleboro and back --once a week, once a
month, or any schedule that works.
