VALLEY HEALTH COUNCIL
TOENAIL CLINIC: This free service is now held on the second Thursday
of the month from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. No appointment is necessary,
but if you've never attended before, call 365-7140 x 118 in advance
for more information. This service is provided by Mary Western,
RN, who is trained in foot care.

SCHOLARSHIP: This year's recipient of the Eugene Godt
Scholarship is Melody Crittenden. Melody, who lives in Newfane
with her two sons, is currently working full-time as an LPN at
Grace Cottage Hospital, where she has been employed for four years.
She started this fall at Vermont Technical College, and hopes
to graduate with an RN license in May.

The Eugene Godt Scholarship is awarded by the Valley Health Council
through the generosity of the Crowell family of Newfane.
THRIFT SHOP: Call 365-7234 to reach the Thrift Shop, which
is open Mon., Wed., Fri. & Sat. between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.
You won't find better prices anywhere, and the merchandise is
always changing.
SENIOR VAN: Ridership has increased on the shopping trips
to Springfield and Brattleboro, but there is still room for a
few more. Want to join the group and have a fun day out with your
peers? The Springfield trip is on the first and third Thursdays
of the month - to sign up, call Liza at 874-4258. To visit Brattleboro
on the first and third Fridays of the month, call Elaine at 365-7140
x 118 or Tom at 365-4406.
HOLIDAY RAFFLE: Raffle tickets will be sold beginning
in early November for the second annual Valley Health Council
holiday basket; the drawing will be on December 20th.
